Music

The playlist’s name sits on top (a click shows its tracks), then what’s playing, with tabs under it for Library, Lyrics, History (tracks played lately; a click plays one again) and Playlist. Under the playlist’s last track, Add a track… finds the vault’s tracks and adds one to the end: a line in a playlist note, or after the tracks of a folder or link. A link to an audio file anywhere in Atrium plays on the Music card when clicked; Cmd/Ctrl+hover shows Play and Play next. The Library shows covers, recent first, then albums, playlists, other notes that link to tracks (such as daily notes with what you played), and YouTube links; a cover’s play button plays it, a click opens its tracks. Typing searches them and the vault’s tracks too, and takes a pasted link or a new playlist’s name; a link pasted with the card picked out plays too. Enter plays the one at hand, Shift+Enter (or right-click, Play next) puts it next in the playlist. Choose what to play (the disc button in the header or beside the Library’s search, the card’s menu or the command) shows the same covers floating over the page. On the card or in its lists: p plays or pauses, n or ] and [ go to the next and previous track, - and = jump ten seconds, v and Shift+V go to the next and previous tab, o opens the Library to search, s shuffles, e repeats, and u tucks the tabs away under the cover or brings them back, as the arrow under the cover does. Scrolling down over the card brings tucked tabs out, then shrinks the cover to a square beside the controls so the list has room, then scrolls the list; scrolling up from the list’s top grows the cover again, then tucks the tabs. The card fits its size: just the track playing when tiny, the cover small beside the controls when small, full when medium, and beside the tabs when large, where a button on the cover tucks the tabs away and the cover takes the middle. Short of room, the ten-second jumps, then the times, then shuffle and repeat give way. In the Library, arrows move, Space opens a cover’s tracks and Backspace goes back. Enter goes into the tab showing; in a list, f opens the filter, , the settings, and Esc goes back to the card.
